Pull and electric starters have revolutionised petrol and nitro powered model cars, trucks and buggies. With starting much easier, nitro is the preferred power for high performance models, the better torque and brilliant acceleration is a real `blast'. More maintenance is necessary than with electric powered models and so nitro is only suitable for ages mid/late teens and up. Read the Antics help sheet before starting.

Most nitro engines employ a glow plug, which must be heated with a battery powered `glow start', to make starting easy. Many of our deals include the starting pack but check the description to be sure.

Drive Safely! We recommend the fitting of a failsafe device, product 5299008, to prevent these high powered cars running away if radio signal is lost, or receiver batteries run low. A small price to pay for peace of mind.

Tamiya 1/8 TNX 5.2R IC Nitro Monster Truck Ready Built (43530)
The new TNX engine features a rear exhaust pipe for bursts of power, pushing this R/C Monster truck to the front of the pack with explosive acceleration and extreme top speeds. The high performance 5.2cc .32 (cubic inch) engine features a slide valve carburetor for optimum response.

The New TGM-04 chassis features a 2-speed transmission for reliable shifting and ball pivot suspension equipped with 4 large capacity oil dampers for excellent handling and stability. The Ultra tough chassis frame features reinforced and heavy-duty parts built to take on all kinds of terrain. Steel drive shafts provide improved durability and excellent performance, without adding unnecessary weight. Fully-equipped weight of the new TNX is drastically reduced, weighing in at 4,300g. This is a full 100g lighter than the original TNX, and compares favorably with most 1/10 scale monster trucks.

1/8 Ready-To-Run R/C Glow Engine Monster Truck on a shaft driven 4WD TGM-04 Chassis.

Lightweight and compact TRU-03 Receiver features failsafe function to prevent runaway driving caused by radio interference or low battery power.

Comes with external electric Tamiya Handy Starter with drive gear unit and plug heater.

Tune-up truck with Tamiya Option Parts. Add separately available oil dampers and springs to attach a total of 8 dampers. Other option parts such as brake arm & disc, suspension mount & hex wheel hub will further upgrade and improve performance.

This model requires a minimum of 30% nitro fuel to run.
